August 19, Tuesday	Financial aid satisfactory academic progress appeals deadline
August 19-25, Tues.-Mon.	Late registration and schedule adjustment
August 25, Monday	Hours locked for financial aid purposes.
August 25, Monday	Drop/Add period ends; last day to change course(s) or course section(s) for the Standard Term.
August 25, Monday	Last day to withdraw from a course for tuition and fees refund; course withdrawal policy in effect after this date.
September 1, Monday	Deadline for graduate students to apply to graduate in December
September 1, Monday	Labor Day holiday. Classes dismissed; offices closed.
September 2, Tuesday	Census reporting; no additional schedule adjustment for the Standard Term.
September 26, Friday	Mid-term grades due; grading window opens September 15.
October 1, Wednesday	Opening day for the financial aid priority filing period for the 2026-27 academic year; FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Aid) available.

Days of the Week Meeting Distribution for Fall
The one-day shortage of Mondays in the fall is made up with the one-day overage of Wednesdays (for MW or MWF meeting patterns). If a class meets only on Monday (three-hour class), then it is the instructor’s responsibility to make up the 150 minute deficit via an online or other instructional method outside of the classroom.
