35% NON-PRIME TIME MINIMUM MONDAY – THURSDAY COURSE DISTRIBUTION BY DEPARTMENT
A minimum of 35% of Monday-Thursday course sections (which have a meeting pattern) must be scheduled during non-prime time: defined as early morning classes with a start time prior to 9:00 a.m. and afternoon classes with start times that begin after 2:00 p.m.
Prime Time/ Non-Prime Time Definitions
- Prime Time
- Classes that have start times of 9:00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
- Only 100-, 200-, 300-, and 400-level courses are included in the calculation.
- Online sections that have a meeting pattern are included in the calculation.
- Non-Prime Time
- Early morning classes with a start time of earlier that 8:59 a.m. and afternoon classes with start time after 2:01 p. m.
Report Available in ARGOS
- The purpose of this report is to provide departments with the necessary data to track compliance of the 35% meeting pattern distribution guidelines.
- Argos reporting – Log into Argos via Secure Desktop. The Academic Administration folder contains the “Non-Prime Time Analysis” report (URODB007).
- This report provides a breakdown (by subject area) of sections in/outside of prime time. You can click on both areas of the pie chart to see the list of sections which fall into each category.
